The palm fruit extraction process begins with the reception of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) at the reception station. The FFBs are then transported to the scraper conveyor, which conveys them to the sterilizing station. Here, the sterilization process utilizes high temperature and steam at 145℃ for 90-120 minutes to soften the fruit and make it easier to separate from the bunch. The process also increases the fruit humidity and prevents enzyme decomposition and the rise of free fatty acids.

Once sterilized, the fruit is passed through a threshing machine to separate it from the bunch. The separated fruit is then digested, stirred, and steam-cooked again before being passed through a thresher to separate the pulp and nut. The pulp is then pressed to extract the crude palm oil and the nut is conveyed to the kernel recovery system for further processing.

The crude oil extracted from the pulp contains impurities and sludge matters, which are separated through the clarification process to obtain 90% pure oil. The extracted oil contains 45-55% moisture, sludge matters, and other impurities. The purified oil then undergoes an oil refining process to remove any remaining impurities.

Finally, the oil is dried to reduce the moisture content to 0.1% before being stored in a storage tank. The press cake, which is the solid residue left after the oil extraction process, is discharged and can be used as animal feed.
